She actually tried charging us an extra $300/month after we were already moved and set up in July, alleging some ridiculous policy on internet usage that the main office was even surprised to learn off when I escalated my complaint in October. When we argued with her and refused to pay undisclosed fees, she tried negotiating down to only $10/month. Again, I refused. At this point, if she can discount that much then obviously she can charge nothing more than our original agreement, right? So that's where we ended...until 3 months later, she's knocking on my door saying I'm lying (or "misunderstood") and she's not honoring her end of the agreement anymore! What?
Seriously, this place should be shut down.
There's no TV signal...Again, you can maybe try using the awful Wi-Fi for that, but it won't likely work.
Of course I don't take kindly to being ripped off. We argued, which is like arguing with a child...because when she brought the sheriff back later, I answered the door with a clay mask on my face and she seriously stepped back, turned her head, and let out a childish, "Ewww" ...then proceeded to present me with a 24 hour vacate notice (because I was being hostile and wrote an accurate review and called member services instead of answering the second time she came banging at my door after I told her to leave & closed my door)
Great course layout, need to improve maintaining the greens
This place is the furthest thing from a RESORT you could possibly find. But that's only the beginning of the lies and omissions that we heard. The "manager" likes to twist "policy" to nickel and dime you after you get there.
No paved roads the last time there. People friendly and helpful, but campsites were in terrible shape. I'm a member and would love to camp there again if they ever make some improvements like paving the roads. Rest of camp is great.
The bathroom is where they breed all of the spiders.
I have worked at Millwood for 4 years and I love it I love all of the employees that I work with and all the members that I meet I love going to my Job
It was more like a 3.5 star last time I was out at Millwood but, I have heard they have done a lot of things to bring the "resort" more up to date. I can't wait to see how they have remodeled the cabins this time. They keep getting better and better!! Same for the... what do they call it... Green? By golly the golf course was looking a lot better last time I was out there and the food was definitely that of a 5 Star restaurant. Honestly they are making some wonderful changes and I can't wait to see all them. I PREY THE POOL IS FIXED otherwise my grandchildren may have me pulling my hair out... haha... I'm just joking. They always have something out there going on to keep them busy. ready to come back and change my rating to a 5 star over all!!!
As far as the park, the facilities are not well maintained (one of the two dryers was out of service for two of the 3 months we were there)
They aren't kidding when they say don't take small pets or children near the pond or the gators will get them.
There's absolutely no cell service from any provider, which leaves you dependent on their intermittent, overpriced Wi-Fi.
